Pictures From Our October 2023 Band Showcase

The Visalia Education Foundation Band Showcase returned for our 19th year to give Visalia high school students an opportunity to share their talents. This event was started by Foundation member Terry Garrett, who passed away this year on August 30, 2023 to give our high school bands, cheer and dance groups an event to demonstrate their skills and raise funds for their programs. It has been held every year since 2001 with the exception of 2020 and 2021 because of COVID. 

This great evening is a wonderful family event. Younger students in attendance can learn to appreciate what opportunities await them if they pursue the programs VUSD offers them in elementary and middle school. The Band Showcase provides an opportunity each year for high school bands to introduce their upcoming half time shows to family, friends, and the Visalia Community. The fun-filled evening features great music and entertainment along with tasty concession stand food and drinks.

All proceeds from ticket sales and concession sales go directly to the schools performing during the evening. The Foundation also helps to purchase musical instruments and support music and performance programs in our VUSD schools.
